Description

Manor Cottage is a character 17th Century, black & white oak beamed cottage set in idyllic countryside on the outskirts of Ludlow, which sleeps up to 8 people. Pets welcome by arrangement.

The cottage boasts a beautiful mature 2 acre landscaped garden with panoramic views over the Shropshire/Herefordshire borders.  It sleeps up to 8 people and is a perfect base for exploring the local area or simply enjoying the peace and quiet of its picturesque setting and fabulous garden.

The property is situated approximately 5 miles from the historic town of Ludlow which is renowned for its Michelin star restaurants and gourmet pubs.  This gastronomic flair filters down to the town’s many pub/restaurant/tea rooms and cafes making dining a true delight.

Ludlow also hosts various festivals throughout the year including the Summer Open Air Shakespearian Theatre Festival and the now famous Ludlow Marches Food and Drink Festival.

In addition, Ludlow is home to an array of beautiful architecture including the 12th century castle, St. Laurence’s Church and many Georgian and Medieval buildings.  Its thriving market selling fresh fruit and vegetable and an abundance of local produce has been a feature of the town for over 900 years.

The unspoilt surrounding countryside and the banks of the Rivers Teme and Severn give abundant opportunities for walking - from a gentle stroll to a more invigorating hike.

Further afield lie the historic towns of Shrewsbury, Hereford and Ironbridge - areas of great historical interest.  Gardeners in particular can enjoy the annual Shrewsbury Flower Show in August; and the world’s first iron bridge of 1779 is a sight to be seen

The area’s attractions are too numerous to mention; Manor Cottage would be the perfect base to explore them.  We look forward to welcoming you and wishing you an enjoyable stay with us.
