Stiperstones National Nature Reserve
The quartzite tors rising from the top of the Stiperstones ridge lie within the shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and are visible for miles around.
The reward for the steep and uneven climb to the top of the ridge is the sight of Buzzards, Curlew and Skylarks which can be seen in the area. A restoration project to encourage the return of heather has recently begun.
