Description
Poles Coppice is an attractive ancient oak woodland with disused quarry workings.Poles Coppice is an attractive ancient oak woodland with disused quarry workings. There are substantial colonies of orchids on site and a wide range of ancient woodland plants.The site provides quiet circular walks with tremendous views across Pontesbury and the Rea Valley.
If you are travelling by car there is a car park at the end of Pontesbury Hill Road; alternatively there is a car park and picnic area off Callow Lane, the road between Minsterley and Habberley, with access on foot to Poles Coppice.
