Francis Moore 1657 - 1715
Francis Moore was born on 29th Januray 1715. He was a British physician and astrologer who wrote and published Old Moores Almanack.
Moore came from a poor family in the town of Bridgnorth, Shropshire. He was self-educated and learned to read by himself, and he served at the court of Charles II of England.
The original Old Moores Almanack was published in 1699 and it featured weather and astrological predictions. It is still published annually.
