Fishing in Shropshire
What better way to cast your eye over our fair county of Shropshire than to pass the time by sitting on one of our watery banks anticipating the bite of a fish?
So whether you prefer your waters to be still or fast flowing, your fishing coarse or game, our stillwaters and rivers provide the ideal venue for you to bait your hook and check your flies.
With more than 10 stillwater game fisheries offering brown and rainbow trout and carp, and miles of canals, several Meres and the Rivers Severn, Perry, Tern and Teme you won't be short of a choice of venue.
With so many pools, rivers, streams and canals to choose from you may need to make a weekend of it.
If you decide to make a break of it, you may want to request a copy of the 'Shropshire & the Welsh Borders' brochure, that lets you find the most delightful bed and breakfasts and guesthouses, hotels and self catering holiday cottages.
