Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre hosts Caribbean Supper Evening Tuesday 23rd February

Following the success of the cookery launch held at the award winning Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre earlier this month, there will be a whole host of cookery workshops starting with a Caribbean Supper evening on Tuesday 23rd February. The Discovery Centre has a pop up kitchen sponsored by Ludlow Food Festival with all the equipment needed to run a cookery demonstration or cookery course.

Why not get rid of those winter blues and brighten up a February evening with a Caribbean Supper on Tuesday 23rd February 7pm – 9pm. Join expert chef Sabrina Zeif on a culinary journey as you enjoy feasting on a 5 course buffet menu that draws its influence from great Cajun-Caribbean cuisine. Start the evening with a glass of chilled Caribbean Rum Punch as you and your host Sabrina Zeif explore the origins, influences and cultural diversity of each dish. The 5 course buffet is just £25 per person.

Sabrina Zeif of Kitchen Thyme (pictured) said “Supper Clubs are a foodie feast with a menu that draws its influences from Cajun-Caribbean cuisine. Take part in make and taste interactive sessions and create dishes as well as learn the history behind Cajun-Caribbean culture and cuisine. Cooking soothes my soul, I want to share my passion and knowledge of Cajun-Caribbean food and what better place than at the home of Grow Cook Learn – Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre.”

Catherine Collier, General Manager at the Discovery Centre said “We are delighted to offer a varied programme of interesting cookery sessions. Our vision is to connect people to the food, history and landscape of the Shropshire Hills, we want to reach out to an audience who wouldn’t normally visit the Discovery Centre to get a feel for what is available at the Centre. The Centre is a fabulous resource for everyone to enjoy, offering cooking courses in the evenings and supporting local chefs and food producers fits with our vision for Grow Cook Learn, after all we are a registered charity.
