Donnington Wood

Donnington Wood is a small village located within the Telford and Wrekin part of Shropshire.

It is believed that Sir Gordon Richards a famous jockey, was born in the village. The local pub in the nearby Telford suburb of Donnington is named after him: 'The Champion Jockey'. However, there is some dispute as to if the birth took place here or in the nearby village of Wrockwardine Wood.
