High Ercall
The village of High Ercall is located within the Telford and Wrekin area of Shropshire.
It is situated on the junction of two roads, the B5062 and the B5063. The local pub is named the Cleveland Arms and there is a small church within the village.
During the English civil war, the old manor house was a royalist stronghold amid a battle took place in the village at that time.
A little further up the road lies a World War II airfield which was home to the 29MU, a maintenance unit and end of the line for a lot of aircraft in the early 1950s.
