Ketley

Ketley is a small suburb of the Shropshire town of Telford.

The village used to be the home of the Ketley Iron works. The local ironmaster, William Reynolds instigated the work on the three local canals, the Wombridge canal, the Ketley canal and the Shropshire canal.

The area has seen much redevelopment in recent years including developments of new housing estates and retail and leisure facilities.

The surrounding countryside is an important habitat for local wildlife.
