The George is a family owned Inn that has been renovated to an extremely high standard. There is a very comfortable bar and lounge featuring exposed beams, real fires and a seperate dining area.
We offer locally sourced food with a wide selection of wines and real ales. Meals are served between 12noon and 2.30pm and 6.30pm to 9.30pm Tuesday to Saturday and Sunday lunches from 12noon to 4pm with Sunday Suppers from 5pm to 9pm.
Throughout the year The George offers real value for money in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. All bedrooms are non-smoking, en-suite with Free-Sat TV including games, Wi-Fi and tea making facilities. Double rooms have king sized beds, two with bath and shower. Please see below for room prices, single occupancy rate also available at £65 per room.
The George is situated opposite the Severn Valley Steam Railway Station, a short walk from the historic market of Bridgnorth and the River Severn. There is a bar on the station specialising in a wide selection of local real ales.
To travel though the beautiful Severn Valley by steam train with its several quaint stations on route is a truly delightful experience. Some of the other many local attractions are Ironbridge with it's museums, the West Midlands Safari Park and RAF Cosford's Aircraft and Cold War Museums.
There are many interesting towns and villages in the area including Ludlow, Much Wenlock, Cleobury Mortimer and Bewdley.
Shropshire is an area which really must be visited and we do look forward to seeing you at The George.

The George is situated opposite the Severn Valley Steam Railway Station car park which is sign posted from all directions. Permission to park on Severn Valley Railway car park from 6pm.
