Enjoy the fun of flight next week at Cosford

This summer holiday, the Royal Air Force Museum Cosford has created a range of interactive ‘August Activities’ to keep the children entertained and having fun. From the 8-12 August there will be a fun of flight theme as children make and colour in their own paper gliders and parachutes then test how well they fly.

Sherlock Holmes Detective Weekend at Blists Hill Victorian Town is 'Elementary by Dear Watson'

Amateur sleuths and budding private detectives can help Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson solve a mysterious crime, which has taken place at Blists Hill Victorian Town in the Ironbridge Gorge over the weekend of Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th August. Come along and try your hand at forensic science, taking fingerprints, printing reward posters and matching plaster cast footprints to different shoes.

Wartime Dance takes guests back to 1940’s

Members of the public are invited to join the Aerospace Museum Society’s popular 1940’s Hangar Dance taking place at the Royal Air Force Museum Cosford on Saturday 15th October 2011. The event will transport guests back to the era of Big Bands, Jive Bunnies and Jitter-buggers with a fun packed evening of entertainment.

BBC to Re-run Victorian Pharmacy Filmed at Blists Hill

The fascinating Victorian Pharmacy series, mainly filmed at Blists Hill Victorian Town in the Ironbridge Gorge, is to be re-run by BBC 2 at 7pm every Monday over the summer. Now being broadcast in 30-minute slots, as opposed to the original hour, it takes a look at the dynamic world of the pharmacy from the beginning of Queen Victoria's reign in 1837 right through to her death in 1901.
