Guided Walking Tours of Shrewsbury

The 2008/9 edition of the Guided Walks leaflet is now available from the Shrewsbury Visitor Information Centre. The leaflet gives details of all the many different tours that are available to book throughout the year.

Throughout the summer there will be a daily guided tour at 2.30pm Monday to Saturday and at 11am on Sunday mornings.  The price for these are £3.50 for adults and £2.00 for children (age 16 & under).  These general historical tours last 1½hrs and are suitable for all ages and abilities.  The guided tour takes in many parts of the town and may include The Square, areas of the town such as Fish Street, and Castle Street to look at the Castle and the Library buildings and much more. These tours very popular with visitors to the town and with local people who wish to learn more about the history of their hometown.

The leaflet also gives details for any one who wants to book a tour guide for a private tour for groups of up to 20 people.  These are also very popular, our tour guides have a vast range of knowledge and tours with a theme can be requested such as Charles Darwin, Shuts & Passages and The Civil War.
