Autumn half-term 24th - 25th October

Take part in the national Big Draw initiative during the autumn half-term and join a hands-on session at Blists Hill Victorian Town in Shropshire’s Ironbridge Gorge over the weekend of Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th October.

All ages can join in the workshops to create giant drawings of the Town using charcoal made onsite at Blists Hill. Sessions will take place in the Goods Shed from 11am-1pm and again at 2pm-4pm, entry is included in the museum entrance fee.

The pictures will be displayed at Blists Hill during the Ghostly Gaslight Halloween evening on Saturday, 31st October (6-9pm) when the town is transformed into an eerie place with shadowy walkways and ghostly characters at every corner.

Supporting the Campaign for Drawing, the Big Draw has been taking place every October since 2000 with the aim of encouraging everyone to draw. Hundreds of new and enjoyable drawing activities connect people of all ages with museums, outdoor spaces, artists and each other. These events are for those who love to draw, and those who think they can't. More information about the Big Draw can be found on www.thebigdraw.org
