Telford Guest House given new Accolade for Service Excellence
Rosemary and Adrian Brown at The Old Rectory of St James Guest House have been presented with VisitEngland’s new ROSE Accolade for 2015, one of only 100 in the whole of England.
This is a new industry honour (in Recognition Of Service Excellence) designed to showcase those establishments that provide the warmest of welcome. The 100 recipients include accommodation providers; places where the owners, managers and staff really know how to delight their customers, irrespective of their star rating, style or type of accommodation.
Those recognised this year include 60 B&Bs/Guest accommodation, 19 self-catering, 16 hotels, 2 parks/campsites, 1 narrowboat, 1 serviced apartment and 1 glamping site. Star ratings range from two-star to five-star B&Bs, Hotels and Self-catering. Every region across the country is represented.
Rosemary and Adrian have worked hard to improve the standards at their “Quintessentially English Guest House” in Stirchley Village and aim to provide the best possible service for their guests. Earlier in the year they won the Bronze Award for Excellence; a recent assessment upgraded them from a Silver to a Gold Standard in the Four star rating, and now this ROSE accolade is in recognition of the overall standard achieved.

We enjoy what we do; ensuring guests have what they need from booking to check out; providing a welcome afternoon tea of home made cakes and scones; breakfasts that use the best local ingredients that Shropshire has to offer.
