Our second stay at the cabin. We thought last year that no improvements could be made, but this year we found the dressing gowns –pure luxury. We have all enjoyed a great holiday and have booked again for next year. This holiday home cannot be compared to any other for quality and outside space. Our dogs love it too!

3 – 17 Sept 2011
The facilities are just perfect and the extensive grounds are ideal for giving our dogs some exercise. Mike and Sylvia are excellent hosts and can feel proud of this holiday retreat. Its obvious from all the glowing comments that other people have thoroughly enjoyed their holiday here. We have too and we’re already looking forward to our next break in 2012.

Sylvia and Mike thank you! Our stay in the cabin has been really something special. Your high standards
have been a great surprise and a pleasure. You asked for ideas for improvement? Well I think its impossible. It is just perfect. Ty our westie also says thank you. He had a great time exploring the area. Thanks again and we will be in touch soon.

The tiny hamlet of Welsh Frankton stands between the famous village of Whittington, the birthplace of the first Lord Mayor of London, and the delightful town of Ellesmere, which is a pretty market town with Tudor, Georgian and Victorian buildings, found nestling between the beautiful mere (lake) and the Shropshire/Llangollen Canal, in an area known as Shropshire's Lakeland. Originally a fortified Anglo-Saxon settlement, Ellesmere is steeped in history. The town is home to the lovely Church of Saint Mary, with its 15th Century roof and Thomas Telford was based in the town while building the canal. There are a variety of shops, good pubs and restaurants and an abundance of entertainment on and around the nine lakes, which surround the town. Stroll through Cremorne Gardens, enjoy fishing and sailing or explore Colemere Country Park with its wonderful wildlife and scenic walks. As the townspeople say, there really is ‘a mere for all’!
