As ever, we had a fantastic week. We had one day of rain but it didn't hinder the relaxation that he Cabin encourages. We all had a fabulous week and the Cabin really is a home from home. Even the dogs knew where they were going. Can't wait to come back in June and can't believe the week went so quickly. Mike and Sylvia, thank you so much for having the Cabin for us all to escape to and recharge our batteries.

Just a week to round off this year's visits. Plenty of Autumn colours to enjoy - a feast for our eyes. (& a warm cosy Cabin to return to!) Thank goodness we've booked for 2017.

As soon as you see the gates and the Cabin, you realise you are somewhere special. The Cabin with its fabulous setting and acres of land, exceeded our expectations as did the kind and attentive owners. We came with our two dogs Denzel and the puppy Rio. I can't tell you how much they enjoyed running free in the paddock. The dogs thought it was dog heaven. Can't wait to return next year and can see why people return over and over again. The Cabin is warm and cosy and has everything you need. Thank you again, we have had a wonderful week...

Sadly we have reached the end of another absolutely brilliant holiday (4 full weeks)... we were able visit some of our favourite "dog -friendly" walks & eating places. As regular visitors to the Cabin we are never disappointed & it feels like home from home. Can't wait until our next visit in November & then into 2017.

The tiny hamlet of Welsh Frankton stands between the famous village of Whittington, the birthplace of the first Lord Mayor of London, and the delightful town of Ellesmere, which is a pretty market town with Tudor, Georgian and Victorian buildings, found nestling between the beautiful mere (lake) and the Shropshire/Llangollen Canal, in an area known as Shropshire's Lakeland. Originally a fortified Anglo-Saxon settlement, Ellesmere is steeped in history. The town is home to the lovely Church of Saint Mary, with its 15th Century roof and Thomas Telford was based in the town while building the canal. There are a variety of shops, good pubs and restaurants and an abundance of entertainment on and around the nine lakes, which surround the town. Stroll through Cremorne Gardens, enjoy fishing and sailing or explore Colemere Country Park with its wonderful wildlife and scenic walks. As the townspeople say, there really is ‘a mere for all’!
