Description

Four 5 star luxury charactered properties situated in the idyllic rural hamlet of Plaish. Central to all of Shropshire's attractions, with fantastic views and tranqullity surrounded by a wealth of wildlife. Well behaved dogs welcome.

Turnip House, Corn House, Olde Cow House and Spinney Retreat are listed self catering barn conversions, rated five star and located in the idyllic rural hamlet of Plaish, an area of outstanding natural beauty and central to all of Shropshire's attractions. Situated on the owners 700 acre mixed family farm where there is a strong commitment to conservation. Guests are welcome to enjoy the farmland walks and conservation area with natural pools and a wealth of birdlife - in excess of 40 species documented by a recent guest. The conversions are full of character with exposed beams and log burners and can be booked individually or combined for larger parties of up to 31. Guests also have access to a games room. There is fishing and riding locally and for those with their own horses stabling is available. Good local pubs within 1.75 miles.

We now have a NEW children's play area and tennis court.

Plaish Park Farm is available for wedding receptions with th option of a marquee and excellent local caterers and accommodation for up to 31 + cots on site.

Turnip House is Visit Britain five star rated and has 4 bedrooms sleeping 8 plus cot. It is an exceptionally characterful and spacious property with four poster double bedroom and en-suite shower on the ground floor and additional cloakroom in the hall. The first floor provides one double room and two twin rooms with family bathroom including roll top bath and shower. There is a newly equipped kitchen and utility with breakfast bar and separate dining area. There is a wonderfully spacious lounge with exposed beams, log burner and large feature window with superb views. The lawn and patio area have a sand pit and it leads to a woodland walk.

Corn House has 4 bedrooms sleeping 8 plus cot. It offers a well equipped kitchen with patio doors leading to patio area/lawn/sandpit and access to a woodland walk. The ground floor dining room leads to the lounge with a log burner. One four poster double bedroom with en-suite bathroom also off this level. First floor provides king size bedroom with en-suite bathroom and two twin rooms sharing a family bathroom. Extra cloakroom on kitchen level in hall. Well equipped utility.

Olde Cow House

This new barn conversion is a 16th century listed timber framed and stone building converted to a very high standard with a wealth of exposed beams and walls, retaining the olde world charm with modern amenities. Two family rooms each with one double and single bed plus shower en-suite. Second staircase to triple room (or superking with single) and vanity sink, main bathroom off landing with shower and roll top bath. Third staircase to double bedroom with WC and basin. Large lounge with log burner, dining room, oak and granite kitchen, garden room, utility WC and basin. Patio area not enclosed.

Spinney Retreat

Charactered single storey semi-detached conversion in a courtyard setting next to woodland in the centre of the idyllic rural hamlet of Plaish. All ground floor accommodation with internal steps. Tiled entrance into well equipped hall /kitchen/diner with exposed beams, one step down to innerhall with main walk-in shower and bath plus wc and sink, door off hall leading to double bedroom with small ensuite shower room. One step up from kitchen to beamed living room with logburner and further step up to twin bedroom(zip and link). Garage/stable ajoining with pool table, ample parking.

Directions

From M54 Telford exit J6 on to A223. 1st exit follow A4169 for Much Wenlock, then turn right at Junc. for Church Stretton B4371, follow for 6 miles. At Longville turn right before pub. Follow 1/4 mile to crossroads, straight over for Plaish. Follow narrow road 1.5 miles. Turnip, Olde Cow & Corn on left before and after bend respectivley. Spinney in centre of village left past hall, follow drive round. From A49 take B4371 at Church Stretton, follow to Longville then as above.
