Upton Cressett Hall has two quality self catering properties, The Gatehouse & The Coach House.

The Gatehouse accommodates four guests.

Two double bedrooms, two bathrooms, sitting room, kitchen, dinning room that sits up to 10 people. Cook available by request for dinners. Menus are seasonal.

Gas central heating.

Log fire in sitting room and dinning room.

Electric cooker, microwave, American fridge/freezer. Television. WiFi internet access*.

Travel cot and high chair available. (please request)

A laundry service is available by arrangement, please contact the housekeeper for further information.

Beautiful Elizabethan Garden - perfect for outdoor dining.

Access to the historic gardens of Upton Cressett.

Property has an oak spiral staircase not suitable for small children or infirm adults.

The Gatehouse at Upton Cressett is one of the most romantic and historically significant gatehouses in the country, often compared to the Tower at Sissinghurst Castle in Kent in which Vita Sackville-West created her library and wrote her many books.

The Gatehouse was shortlisted for Best Accommodation in the UK at the Hudson's Heritage Awards and has also Top Recommended by Stately Escapes for 'the most popular and well reviewed properties' of the last 12 months.

The Coach House accommodates four guests.

The Coach House at Upton Cressett is a beautifully converted former 19th century coach house adjacent to Upton Cressett Hall and winner of Best Hidden Gem at the 2011 Hudson's Heritage Awards.

The property features exposed beams, a large sitting room with high ceilings leading out through French Windows to a private patio, and access to the historic gardens of Upton Cressett.

Upton Cressett is a secluded hamlet deep in the Shropshire countryside, but lies within four and a half miles of historic Bridgnorth and five miles of the small, pretty market town of Much Wenlock. It is accessed by a winding and, in places, steep lane which leads to the Hall. Next to the Hall is the historic Norman church of St Michael with its 12th century wall paintings

Directions

Upton Cressett is located between Morville and Bridgnorth, off the A458 Bridgnorth to Shrewsbury road. When you see the turning, drive along a narrow winding country lane for two miles until you reach the very end. The turning is two miles west from Bridgnorth and approx 17 miles from Shewsbury and Ludlow.
