Description: Inspired by Shrewsbury's links to Charles Darwin, this outdoor exhibition opens up the theme of evolution through the eyes of international photographers. The ten week exhibition is the first of its kind for a UK town and will display 40 powerful, historic and contemporary photographs exploring Darwin's legacy in modern society.

Description: The exhibition will feature artwork by best-loved, best-selling and acclaimed illustrators including; Robert Ingpen, Shirley Hughes, Axel Scheffler, Emily Gravett, Mini Grey, Jessica Ahlberg, Polly Dunbar, and many more. The original works will be interpreted for schools and families, with a strong focus on the under 5s and will be an immersive and exciting environment, with plenty of opportunity to play and learn exciting new rhymes. This exhibition is based on two books – the classic Lavender’s Blue and the contemporary Over the Hills and Far Away.

Description: Join a drop-in tile decorating workshop between 10am and 3.30pm and try the tube lining technique to produce your own ceramic masterpiece; you could make a collection of coasters, a circular door plaque or a gift for a loved one on a heart shaped tile. Activities vary from day-to-day; tiles cost from £5 each and can be fired and sent home later for a small extra charge to cover postage and packing. It takes up to 1½ hours to decorate your tile so last admission to the workshops is 2pm.

Description: This course will teach you how to use free-motion machine embroidery to create a cushion cover and is suitable for beginners and those who have been stitching for a while. All fabrics and cushion pads are provided. You will need to bring a sewing machine but if you don't have one you can hire on from Jo for an extra £5. You will also need to bring a general sewing kit and an embroidery hoop but can be provided if you don’t have one.
